ER

Sam had his first ER visit last night! Diagnosis is.......A broken arm, his humerus.
Before I left for school last night he had fallen off a little plastic slide. It was not very far off the ground, so I didnt really think anything of it. He had stopped crying and so I left. when I came back to pick him up to go get Clint, Nana said he was crying the whole time and saying owie. He had fallen asleep, so I took him with me to run get Clint from the airport and then go to the ER to have them look at it. We thought it was just bruised or maybe dislocated. We got to the ER at about 8 and they were sooo busy! They were actually really nice though, and we were even at Davis! They took some x-rays and came back to tell us it was a small fracture right under the joint. He has to wear a sling until Tuesday when he can see the bone dr. Then he'll decide if it should be casted or stay in the sling after the swelling goes down. They said it wont affect his growth either, since it wasnt in the growth plate.
Sam did so good, given the circumstances. He tried to laugh and play, but would forget and try to raise his arm and then he would cry. It was a sad night!! He didnt sleep good either! Although he is doing better this morning. He is trying to get use to playing one handed. He doesnt try to take off the sling either.
I just cant believe he has a broken arm and he is only 2! I hope this isnt a sign of things to come!!!! My poor little guy! We love you Sammy!

Hard to say good-bye!

Sunday evenings are the hardest for Sam and I. We have to take Clint to the airport, so he can fly back to Vegas! Tonight was a real rough one. Sam had not taken a nap all day and of course slept the whole way there and back. When we got back home he woke up lookin for da da. He was crying so hard. It broke my heart, so I just held him on the floor and cried with him. Clint comes home on Thursday nights, but it is starting to get REALLY old!! We miss him so much!
Picking him up though is one of our highlights! We wait for Clint at the bottom of the escalators and as soon as Sam spots him he yells da da and can hardly wait for me to let go of his hand. When Clint makes it down I let him go and he runs into his arms and gives him big hugs! It brings a tear to my eye everytime. Usually the people around us are touched by this too! I seriously need to video it, because it melts our hearts! Clint means so much to us!

Mommy is a ghost!?

Last night we hung out at my moms house. Me, deb and my mom just got out of the hot tub and were just talking in my moms room. In her room she has a big picture of me in my wedding dress. Debbie asked Sam if he knew who that was and he said ooooooooo ghooost arrrghh!! It was so funny!!! He thought his mommy was a ghost dressed all in white.

Spa Day!

This morning my mom, Debbie and Katie had appointments to have facials at Sego Lilly.
I love facials because they massage your back and shoulders and your head too, it is WONDERFUL!!!
These are pictures after our facials, notice our glow....and greasey hair! (My mom had a pedicure, that is why she is not in the great purple robe)
I love these gals! They are so fun to be with!!! Thanks for a great Saturday morning!!

Haunted Cookie Houses

Last night we went to the Garrett's and made haunted gingerbread houses. We had lots of fun!!Sam wasnt really interested in helping with the house, until I opened up the candies. Then he thought it was great!!

Sam and Brogan with their masterpieces! They turned out really scary huh??

This morning when I was getting ready, Sam was in the kitchen being really quiet. Which means he is doin something naughty usually. I turn to go see what he is doing and he is just sitting on the steps to our room with his house eating the candy off it. Breakfast of champions!!

Scar Face

Sam is notorious for tantrums!!! During a recent one this week, he got a scratch down his eye. I have a huge framed picture of him that is still in the plastic leaning up against the desk. He was laying on the floor kicking his feet and knocked it over on him. It is one of those big thick black ones, it weighs about 15 lbs too. Well, it sliced his eye and now he looks like scar from the lion king! You can even tell the corner of the picture frame on his forehead. No stiches, but he does say "eye, ow" Poor little guy, I dont think he learned a lesson though!!
